The aim of the Writing Center is helping their users on the process of writing academic texts through different kind of services and resources.

Our proposal is based on a sociocultural and located perspective. From this perspective we understand that teaching to write is, mainly, teaching to write in and for the different context and communicative situations (unique and specifics for each task); and teaching the use of writing as a epistemic tool, that let think about the contents and adopt an own position in relation to the topic and the academic or scientific community of reference. From these premises is deduced the emphasis on the social dimension of writing, about the writing process of the text, and its consideration as a learning and perfection process through life.

Therefore, this Writing Center offers specialized help to writers at every level and all educative community to improve their knowledge about discursive genres typical of their context, and promote their effective participation in writing practices, in their academic community of reference.
